OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Open to residents of Canada

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The SC Johnson Spring Collection Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by S. C. Johnson and Son, Limited (“SC Johnson”) (the “Sponsor”). The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM (ET) on March 15, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on June 30, 2010 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
  2. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada who has reached the age of majority at the time of entry in the jurisdiction in which he/she resides and who is not an employee, agent or representative of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies or agents, its respective advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not). In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner and/or spouse.
  3. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: To enter the Sweepstakes, visit www.scjohnsoncollection.ca (the “Sweepstakes Website”) and select the Sweepstakes icon. Complete the online entry form (the “Entry Form”) with your full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), a valid email address and enter a valid UPC code found on any SC Johnson home cleaning products (see rule 15 for participating products). Upon doing so, click the “submit” icon and you will automatically be entered once into the Sweepstakes. Entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 PM (ET) on June 30, 2010 (the “Sweepstakes Closing Date”). You may enter as often as you wish, but limit of one (1) entry per person per unique UPC code during the Sweepstakes Period. You may only use one (1) email address to enter the Sweepstakes.
  4. GRAND PRIZE: There will be one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of a New York City Shopping Spree, including return economy airfare for two (2) people (winner and his/her travel guest) to New York City, NY departing from the Canadian international airport closest to the winner’s residence to New York, NY; two (2) nights’ 4-star hotel accommodation as selected by the Sponsor in a standard room based on double occupancy with breakfast; round-trip ground transportation between the destination airport and selected hotel and $5,000 (CDN) spending money issued in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner as his/her name appears on the Entry Form. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,000 (CDN) based on a Toronto departure and may vary depending upon points of departure and fare fluctuations. Travel must be completed by June 30, 2011. Booking is subject to availability of flights and hotel accommodation, government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport and other transportation restrictions and regulations. There are no deviations to travel allowed (i.e. length of stay, number of guests, flight stopovers, travel dates, etc). The winner and his/her travel guest must travel on the same itinerary, must each have valid travel documents prior to ticketing (such as a passport) and be eligible for entry into the United States and Canada or the Prize will be forfeited. The travel guest must be a Canadian resident and be age of majority. The winner and his/her travel guest are responsible for ground transfers to and from the winner’s and/or traveling guest’s residences and departure airport. The winner and his/her travel guest are responsible for all other costs and expenses not specifically listed above, including, but not limited to, taxes, meals, food, beverages, insurance, valid travel documentation, passports, car rentals, medical/health expenses, gratuities, excess baggage fees, communication charges, admission fees and all personal expenses and incidentals. Reservations will be accepted based on space availability, and must be booked a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the departure date. Blackout periods may apply. No frequent flyer miles will be available for this trip. In the event that the winner does not use any portion of the Grand Prize, there will be no extension, transfer, substitution or any kind of compensation provided. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable, not for resale and has no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that the Grand Prize or any component of the Grand Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another prize or component of a prize of equal or greater value, without liability.
  5. DRAWING: A random draw will be held on July 08, 2010 at approximately 10:00 AM (ET) (the “Draw Date”) in Mississauga, ON from among all eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes Closing Date. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes Closing Date. The selected entrant will be contacted by mail or telephone within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date. If the selected entrant (a) cannot be reached by mail or telephone within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date; (b) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question (see rule 7); or (c) fails to return the properly executed Release Form within the specified time (see rule 7), then he/she will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such time as contact is made by mail or telephone with a selected entrant or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant.
  6. GENERAL: By participating in the Sweepstakes, each selected entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organization, with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes, which decisions are final.
  7. To be declared the winner, the selected entrant must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question posed by mail or telephone. The selected entrant and his/her travel guest will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules and Regulations, acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with the Grand Prize or the Sweepstakes. The Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Release Form or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. Upon receipt of the completed Release Form, the Grand Prize will be coordinated with the winner by the independent contest organization.
  8. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Sweepstakes or the Grand Prize. By participating and accepting the Grand Prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province/territory) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Sweepstakes.
  9. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be liable for any failure of the Sweepstakes Website, do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entries are subject to verification by the independent contest organization. The Sponsor, its advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, directors, officers, affiliates, agents and representatives are not liable for (a) late, lost, delayed, not received, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, stolen, fraudulent or illegible entries (all of which entries shall be automatically void and not eligible for the Grand Prize); (b) failure to receive entries due to transmission failures, busy signals, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, servers, access providers, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or recipient, or (c) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes and breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer "hackers". Entry material/data not satisfying the entry requirements or that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.
  10. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. The selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Sweepstakes will be the Sweepstakes server machine(s).
  11. The Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) in the province of Québec, to terminate or amend this Sweepstakes at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right with the consent of the Régie to cancel the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Sweepstakes.
  12. For Québec residents only: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling; any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  13. No correspondence will be entered into, except with the selected entrant. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
  14. The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from selected entrants will only be used by the Sponsor to administer the Sweepstakes and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Sponsor.
